*Sigh* So I haven't been blogging much lately (again). I'm all out of devotionals to post and most of my writing time and effort lately is going towards paid gigs. Not exactly creative or anything but they're bringing in some much needed extra money. Its still hot out here in the desert- supposed to be over 100*F every day this week. Its hard to get into a fall mood when I'm still roasting in the car. With a little luck it will cool down eventually and we'll be able to start hiking on the weekends. Chris and I didn't hike as much as I wanted to last winter and we both missed it. Hopefully Ava has calmed down enough that we'll be able to take her out on the trails without her being too much of a terror. We'll see though.

I've been taking pictures sort of intermittently. We had a networking event at work and I snapped a few good shots that I put up on facebook.

Our dishwasher is still broken which means washing them by hand. I don't believe people who say washing by hand is faster and uses less water than the dishwasher. That's definitely not the case in our house. I can stand at the sink and do a whole sinkfull of dishes in a half hour or more, or I can take 5 minutes and put them all in the dishwasher then walk away. Oh, and in our house it has to be done every day. The way Chris cooks I can empty the sink while he's cooking and its nearly full again after dinner. I'm stalking Craigslist for a decent dishwasher but getting impatient enough that I'm ready to jump on the first one that even looks close to what we need.
